The stars, up there in the sky, noticed that pain. One of them, moved by compassion, decided to descend, crossing the wind and the crevasses to reach the mountain. But the cold was relentless…
The mountain, moved by her gesture, wrapped her in a blanket of white down and tied her to itself with tenacious roots. At dawn, the most precious flower of the peaks was born: the first Edelweiss .
